Forces retake Bajaur area from Taliban

KHAR: Paramilitary forces have regained control of Bajaur Agency’s Loyesam area from the Taliban, a senior administration official said on Wednesday. “Government forces have established posts in Loyesam after resuming control of the area,” Assistant Political Agent Muhammad Iqbal Khan said. Taliban spokesman Maulvi Umar said they had been confused by the forces’ movement. “We thought the force was heading for deployment at the border and that’s why we did not confront them,” he told Daily Times. hasbanullah khan
